Boy did I need this trip! It's been a few months since my last trip and it was a much needed break from work. I spent about 1 1/4 days at the DL Resort in mid-August, with my friend Ashley, who used to go with me back in the "old days" in the late Nineties.
About the Photos
On this trip, I brought along the Nikon D100, a professional digital SLR, that I am reviewing from my Digital Camera Resource Page site. This is a six Megapixel, $2,000 camera (for the body only) that is pretty impressive, though the images are soft and often underexposed at the default settings.
Photos are grouped by park and land, rather than time of day.
Each picture you'll see on the next several pages will be a smaller version (usually 800 x 600) of the original. Under most photos there will be a link to a much larger version (3008 x 2000, often over 2MB) which looks really nice when printed or used as a desktop background.
Note to DCRP readers: All photos are straight out of the camera and are unedited. I have changed the levels on a few of the 800 x 600 thumbnails where needed -- I will note this under the photo. You can see the original photo by clicking on the view full size image link.
